Elli Goes Outside!

Today, Elli went outside! She wasnt sure what to thing of all the grass and leaves! We went on a golfcart ride. She LOVES the outdoors :) She also loves animals and kiddos :) I loooove Elli's biiiig cheesy smiles.! Elli had a biiig day :) She kept trying to eat the leaves(; silly goose! haha(:

She wanteeed me to post some pictures for Grandma and Grandpa Worman, We have a new addition to ouuur Barn Family ;)

8 Months Old

Wow. I can't believe our little Elli Bean is 8 months old!! She is growing up so quickly. Elizabeth is just such a joy and a blessing to our family. She is smiling and laughing all the time. When she has a dirty diaper and we tell her we have to change her diaper, she laughs. When we tell her it is time to settle down and go night night, she laughs. When she is getting told no no because she can't have the dog food, yep..she laughs.

Elli is so curious she is so afraid she might miss something if she closes her eyes for 5 minutes. If she is almost asleep in my arms and someone walks in the room, she sits straight up to see what is going on as if she wasn't just half asleep 2 seconds ago.

She is discovering how to open drawers, cabinets and how to open and close the toilet lid and doors. We have been doing some serious baby proofing. It is funny how one day she doesn't get into any of these things and then the next day - BOOM she is into everything.

She has also moved into her convertible car seat and out of the infant carrier. That thing got very heavy after a while and she was getting too long for it.

We are going to continue to work on more solid foods. She loves her stage 2 baby foods as long as we mix them with some fruit or yogurt. She is starting to master the pincer grip which means she can use her finger and thumb to pick up small objects. So we have been giving her shredded cheese and puffs to practice with. We might try some small pieces of banana soon.

Elli is more mobile than ever now. She crawls fast and on a mission. She loves to play on the floor with her toys but she does not like it if any of us leave the room. She wants to be right there close by but she loves it when we play on the floor with her. She especially loves to climb all over Daddy for playtime.

Now I am sure all of this reading and you are all probably just wanting to see pictures of the cutie patootie. Keep in mind that because she is more mobile than ever now getting pictures of her sitting still is quite the challenge.

Playtime

Elli is such a busy little baby. She has so many personalities. She will play for several minutes by herself and then she kind of demands some attention and will fuss to be held so I pick her up and she demands to be let down to play some more. Most of the time, I just end up sitting on the floor playing with her. This is us calling Grandma.

I am sad to report that Elizabeth is pulling herself up. She pulls herself up on everything that she possibly can. My legs, her toys, her crib, furniture. Doesn't matter, she wants to stand up and climb. This toy below has to be pushed against a wall because Elli will try to climb on it. She doesn't just pull herself up on the toy. No....that is not good enough, she must climb on and over the toy and then try to push it wherever she wants it.

This is a terrible picture, but when you have a very active baby I have learned not to be picky and just snap the picture. She has pulled herself up on the chair.

And her crib. This is now what I see when she wakes up from bedtime or her naps.

My favorite though and I can't get a picture of it is when she wants held and she holds her arms up and tries to climb up my leg for attention and some cuddle time which I will happily give into anytime!!

Goin back to Eighties!!!!

Bryan and I took Ashli and 5 of her friends to see Footloose at Beef and Boards dinner theater. We had a great time. The girls loved getting all dressed up and doing something a little different. We had a dinner buffet and then watched the musical. Seeing that show sure brought back some memories of the Footloose movie complete with tight jeans and big hair.

First Date, 7 Months Old and a Valentine Message

WOW...we have a lot to report today...

First of all, Ashli went on her first group date with friends and boyfriends. So cute. Her beauty amazes me! Her boyfriend got her a beautiful heart necklace. All in all I think the first date experience was a pleasant one. They went out for pizza and a movie.

Elizabeth Nell is 7 months old today!!! She is closer to one than zero. :( Our little baby is getting so big.

New this month:

Sitting up in a new highchair.

Crawling. Getting faster and faster.

Trying more foods. Guacamole was a hit and she loves to snack on Puffs.

She loves animals and she laughs at them when they make noises.

She is still an excellent sleeper. She is all over her crib and she never stays in the same place. She loves to sleep on her side.

Loves to fake cough and then laugh at herself.

She has the best little personality and is pretty much just happy all of the time.

Last of all....Elli would like to wish everyone a very Happy Valentines Day.

Takes her a little while to get going but she is getting the hang of it!
